Daytona State partners with NACCE to support entrepreneurial training

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. (November 29, 2025) – Daytona State College has partnered with the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE) to expand opportunities for students pursuing entrepreneurial goals.

The partnership strengthens the College’s Entrepreneurial & Education Training (EET) Experience and enhances resources available through the Entrepreneurial Resource Center.

“Through NACCE, we have access to a wealth of resources that support and enhance our initiatives,” said Dr. Sherryl Weems, Associate Vice President of the Mary Karl College of Workforce and Continuing Education. “Students have enrolled in courses introducing entrepreneurial mindset training, financial management, problem-solving methodology and digital literacy – all connected to NACCE and its extensive network of partners.”

Since launching in 2021, DSC’s EET Experience has trained 62 faculty members to integrate entrepreneurial concepts into their curriculum. Thousands of students have participated in entrepreneurial mindset training, design thinking and financial management instruction.

The program has also hosted workshops and roundtable discussions with local entrepreneurs, as well as Falcon Talk sessions. Students have taken part in pitch competitions supported through NACCE’s Everyday Entrepreneur program.

The EET Experience will continue to offer informative and empowering events throughout 2026, with a focus on educating the College community on how to maximize this unique educational opportunity available to DSC students, faculty, staff and alumni.
