Daytona State College Named Among the Best In-Person and Online Colleges Nationwide by Intelligent.com

Higher education resource guide releases the best online & hybrid institutions for 2023

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. (December 7, 2022) – Daytona State College has once again been named among the best in-person and online colleges nationwide, according to newly released rankings by Intelligent.com. The research identifies top schools based on tuition costs, the number of credits required to graduate, and the online coursework delivery format.

The higher education resource guide ranked Daytona State 17th in the nation for the best in-person bachelor’s degree programs22nd in the nation for the best online engineering degree programs, and 34th in the nation for best online bachelor’s degree programs.

The organization ranks each institution on a scale from 0 to 100 across six categories. The scoring system compares each school according to tuition costs, admission, retention and graduation rates, faculty, and reputation, as well as the student resources provided for online students.

Studies consistently show that obtaining a degree increases income substantially, with graduates earning 84% more than those with only high school diplomas or those without a completed GED. The percentage difference in earnings continues to grow with higher learning degrees such as bachelor’s, master's, doctoral or professional degrees.
