  • What if I wanted someone to talk to who understands my situation?

The Falcon HOPE Center has designated Homeless and Foster Youth Liaisons who will monitor progress, advocate for needs, and serve as a campus and community resource. It is crucial that students maintain regular correspondence for the best success.

  • How long can I receive the tuition exemption?

Students who were determined to be experiencing homelessness in the prior school year are presumed to maintain the same status for each subsequent year at the same institution, unless the student informs the institution that circumstances have changed, or the institution has specific conflicting information about the student’s circumstances and has informed the student of this information. The DCF tuition exemption remains valid until the student reaches 28 years of age.

  • What if I still need more money to support myself while in school?

Students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and DSC Foundation Scholarship application each year.
