Daytona State Named One of Florida’s Top Online Colleges and Schools

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Jan. 2, 2020) – Daytona State College has landed on another prestigious list of online education rankings
with Study.com putting DSC among the top schools in Florida. The ranking covers all
accredited, non-profit public and private universities and colleges in the state.
Study.com has been providing users with free college and career resources for more than 15 years and ranks schools in a variety of areas. Daytona State is No. 13 in the category of Best Online Colleges & Schools in Florida, and ranked No. 2 among the 28 members of the Florida College System. The rankings emphasize accessibility, affordability and quality of education. Schools are ranked using a system that combines current data points from the U.S. Department of Education with program and school-specific details.
According to Study.com, Daytona State boasts exceptional online degree programs, specifically noting engineering, information technology and nursing. Daytona State College is approved by the Southern Regional Education Board's Reciprocity Agreements (SARA) and participates with the Florida Shines program, which makes it easy to earn a degree and gain access to state-wide resources, such as career guidance and library services.
Earlier this semester, the DSC Bachelor of Science in Nursing was ranked as the nation's No. 1 most affordable online nursing school by Best Health Degrees. Two weeks later, DSC's online Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology program (BSET) was ranked No. 1 in affordability by the Bachelor's Degree Center.
