DSC Ranked as the Nation’s Number One Most Affordable Online BSN Program
Best Health Degrees puts DSC at the top of its list
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (September 13, 2019) – Daytona State College's online RN to BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) program is ranked as the nation's No. 1 most affordable nursing school of its kind
according to the recently published list produced by Best Health Degrees.
The independent online source for healthcare degrees and careers released its complete list of top nursing programs in both traditional and online programs, and Daytona State took the top spot in the online rankings by finishing ahead of schools such as the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Minot State University (N.D.), Nicholls State University (La.), and the College of Coastal Georgia.
Daytona State's RN-BSN program is designed to provide a seamless transition from the associate degree to the baccalaureate degree. It was developed for the new or working nurse interested in career advancement. The online program gives students, nearly all of them already full-time professionals, a flexible option to earn their degree.
"It gives us great pleasure to know we serve the community by providing a completion program for working RNs," said Amy Szoka, chair of the DSC School of Nursing. "Many of our students are recruited from our associate degree program, complete the BSN, and go on to a variety of advanced practice opportunities. We are able to provide this robust program because of our dedicated faculty and staff whose number one goal is student success."
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, one of 11 bachelor's degrees offered by Daytona State, is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.
