Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) at Daytona State College
Build academic and technology skills at the same time. The Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) pathway helps students strengthen skills through an Academic Skills Building (ASB) class while preparing for workforce-focused training in Microsoft Office applications. This pathway is a strong fit for students interested in office support, digital productivity, and administrative work.

- Build skills in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strengthen digital productivity, workplace communication, and everyday office technology skills
- Develop reading, writing, math, digital literacy, and workplace readiness skills
- Prepare for training that supports future college and career opportunities
Eligibility
Students must be co-enrolled in an Academic Skills Building (ASB) class and the MOS pathway.
- CASAS Reading GOALS 2 score at NRS Level 5 or 6
- Co-enrollment in an Academic Skills Building (ASB) class and the MOS pathway
Class Schedule & Location
- Offered at the Daytona Beach Campus and Deltona Campus
- Monday–Thursday
- 6–9 p.m.
How to Enroll
- Apply to an Adult Education program.
- Complete the CASAS Reading GOALS 2 test and score at NRS Level 5 or 6.
- Meet with an Enrollment Specialist or School of Adult Education staff to confirm eligibility, review pathway options, and attend orientation.
- Register for an Academic Skills Building (ASB) class and the MOS pathway, then begin classes.
