  • Student Accounts Specialist

    Student Accounts Department

    Daytona State College is seeking a Student Accounts Specialist for our Student Accounts Department. This position is available through Lyneer Staffing Solutions. Applicants who are hired will not be employees of Daytona State College.

    • Minimum Qualifications: This position requires an associate degree with emphasis in accounting, business, or a closely related field. This position also requires one (1) year of related work experience, however additional experience is preferred.
    • Responsibilities: This position is responsible for assisting with processing refunds and providing clerical support for students, parents, and staff on the Daytona Campus. This position will assist with analyzing information to determine refund eligibility and appropriate financial awards and applying these awards to the student account.
    • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The successful candidate must possess strong computer skills and have knowledge of software programs including Word, and Excel. They must communicate well both verbally and in writing; be skilled in customer service, recording keeping and communication. The successful candidate must be creative and have the ability to work independently. They must also possess the ability to multitask, utilize time management and be well organized.
    • Salary: $11.50 per hour pending fiscal approval. (Up to 20 hours per week)

    IT Help Desk Services Specialist, Information Technology/Help Desk

    Daytona State College is seeking a Help Desk Services Specialist for our IT Help Desk Department. This position is available through Lyneer Staffing Solutions. Applicants who are hired will not be employees of Daytona State College.

    • Minimum Qualifications: Computer troubleshooting skills, strong phone and customer service experience required. Six months of previous technical support experience is highly preferred.
    • Responsibilities:  Provide technical support to the College community via phone, email, chat or walk ins. Monitor, record, and resolve service requests/incidents. Level one network administration including updating and creating accounts and password resets. Level one voicemail administration including password resets.
    • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong ethics, integrity, and accountability. Skilled in oral and written communication. The ability to easily adapt to computer/software programs; automated systems; ability to multitask. Outstanding customer service by attending to walk-in customers and answering telephones, giving accurate information, and directing inquiries to the appropriate department.

  • Data Communications Specialist I

    Information Technology Department

    Daytona State College is seeking a Data Communication Specialist I for our Information Technology Department. This position is available through Lyneer Staffing Solutions. Applicants who are hired will not be employees of Daytona State College.

    • Minimum Qualifications: This position requires an Associate’s degree preferably within a Computer or Business related field.  One (1) year of related work experience is required.
    • Responsibilities: This position will perform the following essential tasks:
      • Offer support to senior IT technicians in day-to-day support activities and projects.
      • Track IT inventory.
      • Install and test software.
      • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware.
      • Maintain and monitor supplies.
      • Order IT equipment and track deliveries.
      • Troubleshoot and install networked peripheral devices, and networking hardware products.
      • Pre-stage IT equipment for work orders.
      • Deploy and recover IT hardware as required.
      • Perform administrative tasks in an office setting.
      • Work with end users to resolve technical issues.
      • Update service and technology request records.
    • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The successful candidate must have knowledge of hardware and software operating systems; ability to perform specialized technical work requiring general understanding of operating policies and procedures and their application to problems; ability to apply specialized technical or professional principles and practices in the solution of problems; ability communicate effectively both orally and in writing; and skill in attention to detail.

    • Working Hours: Hours will range from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with the potential for weekend hours. Variation in schedule based on the needs of the department.

  • Senior Laboratory Technician

    School of Biological & Physical Sciences

    Daytona State College is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician for our School of Biological & Physical Sciences Department. This position is available through Lyneer Staffing Solutions. Applicants who are hired will not be employees of Daytona State College.

    • Minimum Qualifications:  This position requires an Associates’ degree above with emphasis in Biology and Chemistry and over 6 month or related experience preferred.
    • Responsibilities:  The selected candidate for this position will assist in the laboratory set up and clean up. The employee will also assist in the preparation of chemical’s, reagents and media; and organize the laboratory and prep areas. He or she will help with training of student workers; maintain a safe environment; and maintain laboratory inventory.
    • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The successful candidate must have the ability to give information, guidance, or assistance to people; must be able to give instructions or assignments to helpers or assistants; must have knowledge in the operation and use of laboratory equipment. This candidate must also have knowledge of computers, peripherals, and software programs such as work processing and spreadsheets and must have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and possess or have strong organizational skills. The employee needs to be familiar witMSDSe MSDS sheet and OSHA requirements.
    • Please Note: Responsibilities of this position will require working at our Daytona campus for Biology prep anDeLandDeLand campus for Chemistry prep.
    • Salary: $10.40 per hour 20 hours per week (flexible hours).
    • Working Hours:  This position will require evening and weekend hours as needed to make sure all labs are properly set up and taken down. Work schedule may vary from week to week.

    TRiO Talent Search

    Daytona State College is seeking a Professional Tutor with the ability to tutor in the core high school subjects and SAT/ACT preparation for our TRiO Talent Search program.  This position is available through Lyneer Staffing Solutions. Applicants who are hired will not be employees of Daytona State College.

    • Minimum Qualifications: This position requires an Associates’ degree with an emphasis on either Mathematics, Language Arts, and/or Science. One (1) year teaching, graduate internship, or related experience in tutoring in one of the respective subjects is preferred. Experience workingpostsecondaryecondary level is desired.
    • Responsibilities: The successful candidates will provide academic assistance to current middle and high school students enrolled in the TRiO Educational Talent Search program.  This position requires travel to designated tutoring locations.
    • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The successful candidate must be able to relate to and work with middle and high school students individually and/or in small groups, exercise good judgment, and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. He or she will exercise strong organizational skills, exhibit an eagerness to learn and be of service, and promote positive student, faculty, and staff relations.
    • Salary: $15.08/hr (up to 20 hrs/week)
    • Working Hours and Location:  Hours are flexible based on tutoring needs and may require evening and Weekend hours. Position will be based on the Flagler/Palm Coast Campus; area middle and high schools, or public facilities, as deemed necessary, depending on tutoring demands.
