Adobe Connect is a web conference system that allows users to participate in online meetings and more. We provide assistance and training on setting up your online rooms and training on how to conduct and record an online meeting.
|Falcon Online||This is Daytona State's learning management system. We provide assistance and training on setting up your course and using the various tools in the system. We also facilitate the D2L 101 and D2L 102 training sessions. NOTE: D2L 101 is required for ALL faculty and D2L 102 is required for faculty teaching hybrid or fully online courses.|
|Respondus and LockDown Browser||Respondus is an assessment authoring application for creating quizzes and exams. LockDown Browser is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment. We provide assistance on using these tools within Falcon Online including publishing your exams and question banks to Falcon Online and setting up your quizzes to use the LockDown Browser.|
|Turnitin OriginalityCheck and GradeMark||OriginalityCheck is a plagiarism verification application. GradeMark is an online tool for electronically grading and annotating student papers. We provide assistance on setting up your assignment folders to use these tools for assessment.|
|Faculty Toolset Level 1||In partnership with the Center for Interactive Media, we provide guidance and training in using the Faculty Toolset to create your own short screencast videos and other content for use in your class. Please contact the Faculty Innovation Center (x3485) to inquire about upcoming sessions.|
|Office 365/Office 2016||Office 365 is a group of software and online services subscriptions, including email, online file storage and collaboration and the latest version of MS Office as well as mobile versions for you phones and tablets. Daytona State provides this to all employees and students. We provide training and assistance on how to use these products in your workflow and class environment.|
|Mobile Device Assistance||We can assist you in connecting your mobile device (phone or tablet) to various DSC services.|
|Consulting and Course Review||In partnership with the Center for Interactive Media, our Instructional Designers can provide professional consulting services to help find the best solution for your instructional needs. They can work hand in hand with you to review your course design and organization to ensure you are using the correct tools and following good pedagogical/androgogical practices. If you are interested in this service, please submit a Technology Request via the Unified Request System (URS).|
|FIC on the Go||
During the Fall and Spring terms, a staff member from the FIC will periodically visit a satellite campus to provide help and training. Please check back for the upcoming Spring schedule.
|Additional Video Services||In partnership with the Center for Interactive Media, our Instructional Designers can provide professional consulting services for any instructional video requirements for your courses from creating course welcome videos to more in-depth instructional content videos If you are interested in this service, please submit a Technology Request via the Unified Request System (URS).|
|Scanning||The Center is equipped with scanning stations for documents and books. We offer assistance using the Fujitsu Color Image Scanner ScanSnap SV600.|
