A native of Florida, I was born and raised along the Gulf Coast in New Port Richey, Florida. I am an Active-Duty Military Spouse with three wonderful boys. The summer before my senior year of high school, my first job was in a dental office, and from that point on, I knew dentistry and working in the healthcare field was my future career.

I graduated as a dental hygienist from Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida, and worked in an outstanding private practice in Clearwater, Florida, for several years. I returned to Gainesville in the mid-2000s working at Santa Fe College as a clinical dental hygiene instructor, that is when I was inspired to further my education and follow my dreams of working in academia. I graduated from St. Petersburg College with a bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene, and both a master’s and Doctorate in Health Science from Nova University.

During my years of experience teaching, I had the opportunity or working as a full-time faculty teaching both Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting Students at Santa Fe College and Gulf Coast State College. My current commitments are full-time as the Lead Instructor for the second-year hygiene students at Santa Fe College, teaching online dental hygiene courses at Daytona State College and Valencia College, volunteering as clinical director for Special Olympics - Special Smiles, and maintaining an active builder and real estate agent license. My passion for teaching comes from the students, their drive and commitment to become successful clinicians make what I do worth every minute.
