Krissy Leonard has been in education for over 30 years. Past experience includes Upward Bound Academic Counselor, Career Counseling, Coordinator of Academic Advising, FIPSE Grant Co-Author and Director and Title III Grant Activity Director. She is currently a Senior Professor at Daytona State College and having taught in the School of Student Life Skills for the past eight years. She has won numerous awards for the products of the FIPSE and Title III grants, in addition to Excellence in Online Instruction and Above and Beyond. She has presented at local, statewide, and national conferences discussing topics such as pedagogy, online learning, student engagement and student success strategies. She has written the textbook Empower Yourself: Skills for College, Career and Life (currently in its 3rd edition) that is DSC focused and used in the Managing Your Success course.
