Jayanti Seiler

Faculty - Photography



Jayanti Seiler is a full-time Professor at the Daytona State College School of Photography and Media Studies in Daytona Beach Florida. Since 2011, Jayanti has taught courses in photography, design, and videography. She received her Master of Fine Arts Degree in Photography from the University of Florida where she was the recipient of the Graduate Fellowship Award and she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Photography from the Rhode Island School of Design where she received the T.C. Colley Award and Scholarship. In 2018, she released a first edition book on her series, "Of One and The Other", about the complexity of human-animal relationships. Jayanti founded the organization JayantiPictures, LLC. in 2017 to promote, fund and produce artist works that increase understanding for the fair treatment of animals. Jayanti's photography has gained national and international recognition in publications including, The New York Times LENS, The Telegraph (UK), and Véganes magazine contreculturel (Canada), and she has exhibited at numerous museums and galleries including the Southeast Museum of Photography (FL), Workspace Gallery (NE), and Chiang Mai University Art Museum (Thailand).
