Career/Professional honors: Healthcare Task Force, Critical Incident Management Team, ERP Finance Subcommittee, ERP Consultant and ERP Vendor Selection Committee, state of Florida Mortgage Brokers License (2004-2008).
Outside interests: Traveling, running, basketball, fishing, attending/watching football games, the beach, grilling/cooking, spending time with my family and friends.
What did you do prior to joining Daytona State College? I was an adjunct accounting instructor at Keiser University (2008), a mortgage broker in Flagler County (2004-2008) and a senior auditor at a regional CPA firm in Gainesville, Fla. (1998-2004).
What professional projects are you working on right now? I am engrossed in ERP business process analysis for various finance-related modules. I’ve also recently worked with our independent auditors on the WDSC-TV annual financial statement audit.
What has been the most rewarding thing about your Daytona State College experience? Working with a wide array of professionals among the various college departments to achieve one common mission and goal.
What is one goal you still hope to achieve in your career? Obtaining my CPA license.
In life? Getting my house built.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten? It’s better to be a good listener than a great talker.
One thing people are surprised to find out about me is: I have coached girls varsity high school basketball for the last several years.

If they could bottle your personality what would the label read? Patience is my virtue.
Who are the four people in the history of the world you most admire? My mother, Thomas Jefferson, Warren Buffet, Nelson Mandela.
The Daytona State of Mind to me means a diverse community dedicated to student success and the betterment of the college.
