DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Aug. 19, 2016)  - Daytona State College presents the following calendar of events for September 2016.

Events are open to the public and free of charge, unless otherwise noted.

Open Rehearsal: Daytona State College Symphony Orchestra
Under the baton of Dr. Norton Christeson, senior professor, the Daytona State College Symphony Orchestra is comprised of string, wind and percussion players from the greater Volusia County area, some coming from as far away as Altamonte Springs and Palm Coast. It functions as the only full-sized community symphony orchestra in the area and presents three major concerts per season. Regular Tuesday night rehearsals continue in preparation for the fall concert. No fees are required for participation unless college credit is desired.

Alumni Studio Art Exhibition
The inaugural Alumni Studio Arts Exhibit is specifically designed to highlight past Daytona State College art students. This group show will be a representation of the diversely artistic graduates from DSC throughout the years. Reception is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 2, 5-7 p.m. as part of Homecoming 2016. The gallery will be open Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and during all DSC scheduled public performances.
