WISE: A Lady Alone - Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell
Wisdom In Senior Education (W.I.S.E.) is a program offered by the Daytona State College Foundation to promote and share the academic college resources with our senior community, providing learning opportunities in an enjoyable format. Linda Gray Kelley will perform in character about the history of the first woman doctor to graduate from Geneva Medical College in 1849. She was the first in her class and the first woman doctor of medicine in the modern era. Free to WISE members.

The Daytona State College Foundation presents the 2013 Annual Gala honoring Lesa France Kennedy, CEO of the International Speedway Corporation and Vice Chairperson of NASCAR. WISE: Scams, Shams and Flimflams
Wisdom In Senior Education (W.I.S.E.) is a program offered by the Daytona State College Foundation to promote and share the academic college resources with our senior community, providing learning opportunities in an enjoyable format. In this talk, Mike Pyle will concentrate on how to protect yourself from theft of your money and identity as well as damage to your credit. He will discuss how to address phone calls, door-to-door contacts, and other attacks. He will also discuss the additional challenges in protecting yourself as you become more vulnerable with advancing age as well as provide information about agencies to use as a resource to protect yourself. Free to WISE members.
