Welcome to Daytona State College – Your Pathway to Success

At Daytona State College, student success is our top priority. Our faculty andPresident Thomas LoBasso staff are dedicated to removing obstacles, inspiring hope and confidence, and making personal connections to give our students the confidence to know they belong here. At Daytona State, success means achieving in the classroom, the workplace and in life. We take our mission seriously.

No matter where you are in life, Daytona State offers a wide variety of opportunities to embark on a career, acquire new skills, advance your education, and experience personal enrichment.

Daytona State sets itself apart with high-quality academic programs, outstanding faculty dedicated to teaching, and small class sizes that ensure our students get the attention and support to help them succeed.

We are always growing and expanding, and actively seeking to align our programs with the dynamic economic and workforce requirements of our communities. Recent new programs include a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Bachelor of Science in Cardiopulmonary Science, a hospitality specialization within our Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management, as well as a Certificate in Hospitality Beverage Science, the first of its kind in the state college system.

Other programs include an Associate of Science in Database Technology and a specialization in 3-D Manufacturing tied to our Associate of Science in Engineering Technology. We're also proud of the success of programs such as our Associate of Science in Broadcast Television Production, leveraging the power of WDSC-TV 15 to introduce students to live productions of Falcon sporting events.

We’re proud that Daytona State consistently earns high marks from U.S. News & World Report, ranking among the nation's Best Online Bachelor's Programs, and receiving top marks for affordability and support for Veterans.

Our 23,000 students attend classes throughout Volusia and Flagler counties at five campuses, the Advanced Technology College and the News-Journal Center at Daytona State. Our students have easy access to academic support services and a variety of student life opportunities to get the most out of the college experience, including

  • Championship athletic teams who are as competitive in the classroom as they are on the playing field,
  • An award-winning student newspaper and literary magazine,
  • An active Student Government Association, and
  • More than 50 clubs and organizations.

Daytona State is also home to the internationally recognized Southeast Museum of Photography, a state-of-the-art fitness and aquatic facility, and two theaters that host theatrical, musical and dance productions throughout the year.

Wherever you are in life, we stand ready to help you take the next step.

You belong here!

Sincerely,

Thomas LoBasso, Ed.D.
