Outside interests: Traveling in different countries, short-term Christian missions, non-profit organizations, organizing seminars and conferences. 

What did you do prior to joining Daytona State College? I was an adjunct professor at Marymount University (Washington, D.C.). I also volunteered as the president of a non-profit organization that I founded with the purpose helping homeless children, Umuryango Children’s Network

What professional projects are you working on right now? I am starting two schools in Rwanda: A university and an elementary school currently under construction. 

What has been the most rewarding thing about your Daytona State College experience? I enjoy working closely with students, especially those who participate in the research group that Dr.Nayar and I started. I also treasure great professional collaboration with other faculty members in my department. 

What is one goal you still hope to achieve in your career? It is probably more of a hope than a goal, but I hope that by the end of my career, I will be quoting and referencing the work of my students.  

In life? I strive to see people through God’s eye. 

What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten? Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.

One thing people are surprised to find out about me is: That I can speak over five languages, which I often use at the same time while talking with my wife and my family who understand them.

If they could bottle your personality what would the label read? Extremely adaptable under various conditions! 

If you could have a dinner party and invite any four people, dead or alive, the guest list would be: My wife, my mother, my brother and Jesus Christ.
