Calendar of events at Daytona State announced for June 2017

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (May 16, 2017) - Daytona State College presents the following calendar of events for June 2017.

MUSEUM HOURS: OPEN – Tues, Thurs, Fri: 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wed: 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturdays: 1-5 p.m. CLOSED – Mondays and Sundays and for the following dates: Daytona 500 Weekend, Daytona State College Spring Break, Easter Weekend, April 23-May 1, July 4, August 1-15, and Thanksgiving Weekend.

MUSEUM LOCATION: Unless noted otherwise, all museum exhibitions, events and films are presented at the Southeast Museum of Photography which is located on the Daytona Beach Campus of Daytona State College at 1200 International Speedway Blvd, three miles east of 1-95. The museum is located in the Hosseini Center (#1200). Visitor parking is available. Admission & Events are free. UCF THESIS EXHIBITION 2017
Graduating Student Photography from the University of Central Florida (Daytona Beach)
Now in its 6th year, the UCF Thesis Exhibition showcases portfolios by recent graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Photography program from the University of Central Florida, which along with Daytona State College and the Southeast Museum of Photography, collaborate in a joint partnership known as The Southeast Center for Photographic Studies. The students' thesis work involves photographic explorations of topics that are both personal and public, color and black-and-white, moving and still. This work is a culmination of four years of study in photography. Closed Sundays and Mondays; OPEN – Tues, Thurs, Fri: 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wed: 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturdays: 1-5 p.m.

A Juried Student Exhibition
Departures is a juried exhibition that highlights photography by recent graduates of the Daytona State College photography program. This is the eleventh year that the Southeast Museum of Photography has had the honor of showcasing the work of these recent graduates and it will continue to be a yearly summer event at the museum. Closed Sundays and Mondays; OPEN – Tues, Thurs, Fri: 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wed: 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturdays: 1-5 p.m.
