DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (May 16, 2017) - Daytona State College presents the following calendar of events for June 2017.

Events are open to the public and free of charge, unless otherwise noted.

Aquatic Center  

June 1–30, 11:15. a.m. – noon (Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays) 
Aqua Aerobics “Stretch & Twist”
This water exercise program provides a total body workout for those of moderate to advanced fitness levels. Classes include exercises for aerobic conditioning, flexibility, and strength training. Aqua Aerobics offers a safe and refreshing way to exercise for all ages. Cost $5 per class; 10 classes, pre-paid $35.

Boot Camp
High intensity interval circuit that merges together cardio and weight training! Instructor: Laura. Mondays, $25 for the session. Class is FREE with a student Fitness and Aquatic Center Membership.

Burn & Sculpt
A complete cardio workout that combines step and strength intervals with a variety of movement styles and equipment. Instructor: Sandra. Tuesdays & Thursdays, $25 for the session. Class is FREE with a student Fitness and Aquatic Center Membership.

Swimming Lessons
From 18-months to 17-years of age, the American Red Cross "Learn to Swim" programs at Daytona State College are designed to teach all ages to swim and be safe around aquatic environments. The programs are broken into two levels, starting with water adjustment skills and advancing to competitive stroke perfection. Water safety is stressed and taught to all participants. All instructors have been certified as American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors. Pre-registration is required, prices range from $45 to $60 for the four-week course. Classes held Tuesdays and Thursdays.

June 19-23; June 26-30, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Scuba Camp
Presented by the Daytona State College Aquatics Center and features four sessions of week-long SCUBA Training camps (for ages 12-17) starting June 19, registration deadline - June 7. Mandatory parent meeting, June 7 at 6 p.m. Subsequent camps are scheduled for July 10 and July 17. Cost for each SCUBA Training camp is $165 per participant.
