Alumni Studio Art Exhibition & Reception, September 19, 2016–January 13, 2017The inaugural Alumni Studio Arts Exhibit is specifically designed to highlight past Daytona State College art students. This group show will be a representation of the diversely artistic graduates from DSC throughout the years. The show will be on exhibit from September 19, 2016–January 13, 2017.

The royal couple crowned Mr. and Ms. DSC 2016 will serve as leaders, ambassadors for the college and agents of positive change in the community through their involvement and philanthropic efforts. Contestants are asked to choose a platform: social change issue that he/she is passionate about, and that he/she can pursue while at the college. This is an opportunity for contestants to advocate for a cause that they want to make a positive change for and to be a role model for involvement, service and leadership. Winners will be asked to attend at least five college functions and promote the academic success of higher education. Sponsored by the Student Government Association.

DSC Alumni Golf Tournament (by invitation only)
Women's Golf Head Coach, Laura Brown started the women's golf program at Daytona State College in 1998. Since then the Lady Falcons have captured eight national team championships and six national individual titles. Players have excelled academically as well and have won several national academic and state academic team awards. A number of former players are scheduled to return for Homecoming and will participate in the alumni golf outing. They will enjoy spending time with current Lady Falcon players and will be playing their home course at LPGA International Golf Club.

Part of the four-day Homecoming extravaganza, the two-day Holiday Bazaar is hosted by the Daytona State College chapter of the Association of Florida Colleges. With no entry fee, visitors can explore dozens of items. Featured goods include handmade jewelry, trees, wreaths and centerpieces, embroidered linens, hand-embroidered cards, knitted sweaters, homemade honey, plants, baked goods, hand-painted ornaments, American Doll clothes, art work, custom Christmas stockings, sugar scrubs, body lotions, aromatherapy, a book signing, painted gourds, handmade teddy bears, dog/cat items, Christmas décor, towels ... and more. Featuring a variety of fun activities for the entire family. The FREE BBQ includes all the fixings - all we ask is that you respond in kind with a donation of canned goods and/or packaged snacked goods to benefit the Student Pantry as well as the SGA Basket brigade and Volusia’s Holiday Feed the Need Campaign.  Fall Festival activities include: Hay Rides, Face Painting by DSC Cosmetology Students, Know Your Numbers by DSC Nursing Students, Breathing Activities by DSC Respiratory Therapy Student Association, Giant Jenga by DSC Business Club, Giant Slide by DSC Tabletop Gaming Club, Health Education Promotion by Alpha Delta Nu, Hoops Shoot-Out Game by DSC Athletics, Badminton and Beach Volleyball by DSC After Work Wellness League, Fun Photo Booth by DSC Faculty Senate, Sidewalk Writing by the Writing Center, Family Photo Opportunity by Southeast Museum of Photography, Selfie Scavenger Hunt by DSC Admissions, Technology Petting Zoo by DSC Information Technology and Library, as well as performances by DSC Improv Club and DSC Dance Theatre Company. A trio of innovative employees came up with an idea to create a tabletop tree, complete with leaves for alumni to sign, commemorating DSC Homecoming 2016. Help spread the word for students, alumni and friends to stop by and sign a leaf. They will become a part of history and the revitalized tradition of college homecoming at Daytona State.

Daytona State College's Tabletop Gaming Club, Alumni & Friends Association, and local gaming store Geek Nation, will host a charity Magic the Gathering tournament. For a $5 entrance fee, players will get a full Welcome Deck with which to play the tournament. Both new and seasoned players are welcome to attend. All of the money collected will go to assisting homeless DSC students.
