Technology plays an ever-increasing role in our lives.  In these courses, acquaint yourself with some of the technology you encounter in your daily activities.  Ask questions and explore in a safe learning environment.

Your instructors

Heather Severino is an innovative, passionate, globally-recognized expert trainer with over 23 years of experience in the technology and learning industry.  Her background includes government, corporate, sports and media technology.  When she's not teach in the virtual or onsite classroom, you can find her at a technology conference helping others prepare for their Microsoft certification examinations, or looking for turtles below the surface of the ocean.

John See has extensive experience with Apple devices and software.  Before retiring, John was a public school teacher, university instructor, school technology coordinator, IT Manager, and the Minnesota Department of Education Technology Specialist.  Among other things, John coordinated many local Apple User Groups and operated his own successful technology consulting business.

Introduction to the Computer and Windows 10
September 22, 9 a.m. - Noon, Heather Severino
This course covers computer basics and new features of the Windows 10 Operating System.  You will learn how to log in, basic mouse commands, keyboard shortcuts, how to create, organize and find documents. You will learn how to customize the Windows 10 Start menu and Task Bar, use the Edge web browser, add a printer, change screen settings, and use common applications like the Calculator, Sticky Notes, and Snipping Tool.

Learn how to send email messages including file and photo attachments, receive and respond to emails with reply/reply all and forward, identify phishing tactics, and how to organize and search for emails.

Apple iPhone, Apple iPad and Apple TV

Learn how to navigate your iPhone/iPad with tips, tricks and shortcuts.  Try out some new free productivity apps like Office Lens. Setup Find My Phone in case your iPhone is lost or stolen you can track its location.  You will also get to setup and try Apple TV; checkout how you can access movies and TV shows on apps like Netflix, share photos from your phone on your big screen TV with AirPlay, and more.
