Daytona State College is much more than books and classrooms. It offers an interesting blend of educational, cultural and enjoyable experiences that appeal to students, staff and the surrounding communities to enhance the counties of Volusia, Flagler and beyond.

 

Alumni Affairs - continuing the lifelong connection between the College and those who have been students here. Alumni Affairs offer you the opportunity to be involved through communication, special programs and services.

 

The Arts at Daytona State College - featuring a wide range of cultural programs including dance, drama, instrumental music, and choral/vocal music. Free admission at most events for students presenting their college ID card.

Café 101 and Coffee Shop - located in the Mori Hosseini Center (Bldg. 1200) on the Daytona Beach Campus, Café 101 is a teaching café and kitchen operated entirely by students who are gaining hands-on experience in an actual restaurant setting. Open for lunch and dinner service.

Fitness and Aquatic Center - located in the L. Gale Lemerand Health, Wellness and Education Center (Bldg. 310) on the Daytona Beach Campus.

Foundation - since 1974, the Foundation has provided financial assistance to students as well as funding for critical needs that are beyond the scope of the College's budget.

 

Lifelong Learning and Personal Enrichment – choose from stimulating courses such as Conversational Spanish, Digital Photography, Wine Appreciation etc.

 

Massage Therapy Clinic – the student massage clinic opens to the public throughout the spring and fall semesters offering full-body, 50-minute Swedish massages under faculty supervision.

 

Cosmetology at Daytona State College – the Cosmetology and Nails program offers a variety of services at very affordable prices. All services are performed by Cosmetology students under the supervision of instructors.

 

Southeast Museum of Photography - devoted entirely to photography, SMP is one of only a few such museums in the country.

 

Student Clubs - more than 40 clubs and organizations to enhance the college experience.

 

WDSC Public Broadcasting Channel 15 - a non-commercial, educational television station and PBS affiliate that reaches more than 1.6 million people throughout Volusia, Flagler, Orange and Seminole counties.

W.I.S.E. – Wisdom In Senior Education is presented by the Daytona State College Foundation. These programs are designed with senior citizens in mind and include topics such as Photography, Culinary Arts, Social/Political, Humanities, Theater Arts, Foreign Policy, Today’s Economics, Criminal Justice, County Government, Philosophy, Development of Florida after World War II, Florida Art and Artist, and Cracker Culture in Florida History.
