Freshman - Guard - Saginaw, Mich.

Daytona State College’s JaQuavia Couch is this week’s FCCAA Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. Couch, a freshman from Saginaw, Mich., led the Lady Falcons to a pair of wins at the Daytona Showcase. Against Guilford Tech on November 14, she posted personal bests with 17 points, five rebounds, six assists and ten steals. The following day against Wilkes, she had 16 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals. For the week, she averaged 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 6.5 steals while shooting 50.0 percent (15-of-30) from the floor.

FCCAA Player of the Week Honorable Mention: 

LaTonda Bruce, Daytona – averaged 15.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.8 steals in four games

 

Josette Campbell, Northwest Florida – averaged 18.7 points and 8.3 rebounds in three games, including two double-doubles

 

Kenyatta Gill, Pensacola – averaged 23.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists in two games, earning MVP honors at the PJC Lady Pirate Classic

 

Sabrina Johnson, Gulf Coast – averaged 22.5 points and 11.0 rebounds and shot 60.6 percent (20-of-33) from the field in two games

 

LaToya King, Seminole – averaged 17.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 3.0 steals and shot 55 percent (30-of-55) from the field in four games

Letiecia Davenport, Santa Fe – averaged 13.5 points and 10.0 rebounds in two games

 

Angie Felton, Gulf Coast – averaged 18.0 points and 4.5 rebounds while shooting 55.1 percent (16-of-29) from the floor in two game
