Outside interests: My 1965 and 1973 International Harvester Scout 4 wheel drive vehicles.
What did you do prior to joining Daytona State College? I worked construction and went to graduate school.
What professional projects are you working on right now? Retention, retention, retention!
What has been the most rewarding thing about your Daytona State College experience? I enjoy the new beginning that every semester brings.
What is one goal you still hope to achieve in your career? To see the Learning Commons in DeLand be truly under one roof.
In life? To be made a Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, or for my sons to be decent people.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten? Do not take any time off between college and graduate school.
One thing people are surprised to find out about me is: I have eight chickens, several goldfish, a bullfrog, a cat and a crazy dog.

Who are the four people in the history of the world you most admire? Author Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Chief Bromdan (narrator in “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” by Ken Kesey, played by Will Sampson in the movie adaptation), Benjamin Franklin, Hannibal Barca (a Punic Carthaginian, generally considered one of the greatest military commanders in history).
The Daytona State of Mind to me means those ready to work should be ready to reap rewards.
