Career/Professional honors: Member of Institutional Advancement Committee 2008 – 2011; LDI III Graduate (2014); member of the Emergency Response Team; FEMA Certificate of Achievement.
Outside interests: Family, my grandchildren, my dog, yard work, making bead jewelry and the beach.
What did you do prior to joining Daytona State College? I worked in Admissions at Embry-Riddle for 16 years.
What professional projects are you working on right now? I am working on a proposal for a new college credit certificate.
What has been the most rewarding thing about your Daytona State College experience? Working with the students in our program. It is so rewarding to see them follow their dreams and graduate!
What is one goal you still hope to achieve in your career? Complete my master’s degree
In life? To teach and not turn in to a grouchy old woman!
What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten? Don’t live in the past; always look forward, as God doesn’t give you anything that you can’t handle.
One thing people are surprised to find out about me is: I used to hang drywall for a living.

The Daytona State of Mind to me is: Our students - the most important part of my day. I remind them that walking across the stage at graduation is not the end game. It is a new beginning!
