What did you do prior to joining Daytona State College? I was an assistant property manager for low-income, tax-credit housing.
What professional projects are you working on right now? Training new scholarship committee members and preparing for the scholarship application review process.
What has been the most rewarding thing about your Daytona State College experience? Helping our students achieve their educational goals and being able to share their excitement with them when they find out they have received a scholarship. I’m encouraged and I know that the students are, too. Also, being able to grow in my understanding within my position, I have learned so much within the past year. I believe Daytona State has an amazing team of people and I am honored to be a part of it!
What is one goal you still hope to achieve in your career? I would like to obtain my master’s degree.
In life? Life is great; I know it will only get better! Eventually, I would like to start a family.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten? That I am complete and already have everything I need within myself, it’s just a matter of tapping into it.
One thing people are surprised to find out about me is: When I was little I thought that the fabric polyester was an actual person - “Polly Ester.”
Last book read: Fabulosity by Kimora Lee Simmons
If they could bottle your personality what would the label read? Sweet with a kick.

The Daytona State of Mind to me means helping the students succeed in any way we can.
