Career/Professional honors: My greatest professional honor has been my last promotion. I was so happy.
Outside interests: I enjoy many outside interests, including equestrian activities, family, live-action music performance and yoga.
What did you do prior to joining Daytona State College? Before joining DSC, I travelled the Western World, paid in cash for everything, worked a musical career and held many jobs such as cab driver, English Language Instructor and motorcycle mechanic.
What professional projects are you working on right now? I am writing a book about the trials and tribulations of a college professor.
What has been the most rewarding thing about your Daytona State College experience? All the exciting people I have met.
What is one goal you still hope to achieve in your career? To have a novel published.
In life? To achieve enlightenment.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten? It was given by a great local musician who is now dead. He said, “Damn it, you don’t need me.” At the time I was crushed and confused but it turns out he was correct.
One thing people are surprised to find out about me is: People who know me are never surprised when they find out another aspect of my being.
Last book I read:Skinny Boy Richand theFifty-Foot WheelieBand by Richie Shines.
If they could bottle your personality what would the label read? Use at your own risk.
If you could have a dinner party and invite any four people, dead or alive, the guest list would be: I would invite my great grandparents from the old country who are now dead because it would be interesting for us to swap stories.
The “Daytona State of Mind” to me is a golden aura, like a sun only larger and softer, which permeates the entirety of the horizon.
