April 19th Meeting


The Meeting will Held

In this meeting the Student Paralegal Association will have a general meeting and will be accepting nominations from the floor for the 2011 - 2012 club officers.

Office Responsibilities

President
Preside over all association meetings, introduce all general points of order, schedule/name all association meetings, agendas, represent association at all coordinating meetings with the Student Government, faculty, etc., or appoint a representative to attend any meetings in his/her absence, and to keep the faculty advisor informed of all current activities and occurrences of the association.

Vice-President
Assist the President in all areas of association business. Fill in for President in case of his/her absence.

Secretary
Keep records of all member information, association activities, meetings and attendance.

Treasurer
Maintain accounting records of all association financial transactions, disbursement of funds only by College Guidelines and association allowances, with approval from faculty advisor and responsible for all accounts receivable and payable for association (also to fall under College Guidelines).

Public Relations
Works with the faculty advisor(s) with the general coordination of association activities-including guest speakers, courthouse visitations, and other legal activities. Also assists the faculty advisor(s) in advertising up-coming events associated with DSC SPA.

Student
Works with the Student Government Association in coordination of group events and activities as well as relaying pertinent information to SPA. Also assists the SPA board by attending regular SGA meetings and providing SPA with information in regards to upcoming events.
