The Student Success Laboratory for nursing skills is located in Building 320 Room 328 on the Daytona Campus. The purpose of the Student Success Laboratory is to assist RN, LPN, and CNA students with application of theory learned in the classroom to patient care at the bedside, nursing skills, test taking skills and comprehension of content material. The full time Student Success Laboratory faculty are Patricia Harvey, MSN, RN and Sharon Tighe, Ed.D., MSN, RN. The Patient Simulation Coordinator working with the Student Success Laboratory is Kim Beechler, Ed.D., MSN, RN.
The Nursing Student Success Laboratory offers individual and group tutoring, remediation, and learning opportunities designed to help the nursing student to be successful in their courses. Organized skill and learning sessions are scheduled each semester or students may make individualized or group appointments with any of the Student Success Laboratory faculty. Appointments are highly recommended so that the time may be reserved specifically to meet the students needs.
