Corrections Academy

Volusia and Flagler County hosts three correctional facilities. The Volusia County Department of Corrections and the Tomoka Correctional Facility are located west of Daytona Beach, and the Flagler County Sheriff's Office has a correctional facility in Bunnell.

The School of Emergency Services trains new and prospective corrections officers in FDLE-mandated curriculum. Successful students can take the comprehensive FDLE examination for Corrections Officer. Passing the exam qualifies the individual for employment as a corrections officer anywhere in the State of Florida.
