The Southeast Center for Photographic Studies’ facilities are second to none. We enjoy our own newly-renovated building on the Daytona State College campus. At a time when most colleges have closed their all wet-process darkrooms the SECPS teaches traditional processes along side of digital image making to give students a well-rounded photographic experience. Our spacious darkrooms with more than 30 enlargers include over 400 square feet of working space. Students also have access to a plethora of photographic equipment including cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment.
Our five digital labs have Apple Intel based iMac computers with Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium, Microsoft Office, Adobe Lightroom, and Final Cut Express software for student use during and after classes. Our scanning lab is Apple based with a variety of film, slide and reflective scanners from Nikon and Epson. Our printing lab is also Apple based and contains a variety of Epson printers.
Our support staff maintains labs and equipment throughout the building. Our Stock Room eases the demanding workflow for students by leaning, renting and selling equipment and supplies.
