Theodore Sofianos, PhD, Director
Dr. Sofianos has been employed at Daytona State College for 8 years. He has served in a variety of roles associated with secondary and post-secondary education for the past 20 years. Dr. Sofianos currently serves as the Director of Resource Development and collaborates with a multitude of departments and agencies, nationally and regionally, as to further advance institutional goals and objectives. He has received recognition and awards for regional and international projects that have impacted educational programs for economic independence in his community and abroad, and has always been an advocate of open and equal access to higher learning. He belongs to several committees and boards, has been a presenter in a number of forums, and volunteers his time for worthy causes.
Kimberly Taylor, Grants Development Coordinator
Kimberly joined the College’s Office of Resource Development in 2013 where she coordinates, researches, and develops grant proposals. When she is not working, she enjoys the company of her friends and family. She is an avid jogger and enjoys outdoor sports and activities.
Lisa Koogle, Grants Development Coordinator
Prior to joining the College and the Resource Development team in November 2014, Lisa worked elsewhere in higher education for a number of years. Her experience, gained in small liberal arts colleges as well as the for-profit sector, includes roles in academic affairs and student services. Lisa enjoys reading, writing letters, and hanging out with Roscoe, a sweet-tempered MinPin-Boston Terrier mix who rescued her in early 2014.
Mary Rhodes, Grants Management Coordinator
Mary has been employed at Daytona State College for 2 years. Mary assists project teams with post-award grant administration, including monitoring deliverables and expenditures compliance, time and effort reporting, report submission, amendments/revisions and final closeout. She currently holds the position of Treasurer for DSC’s Professional Council constituent group. Being involved is one of Mary’s favorite pastimes, as evidenced by her numerous community volunteering efforts. Mary is a busy crafter and enjoys time with family and friends.
Colleen Curry, Administrative Assistant
Colleen has been employed at Daytona State College for 25 years. Colleen assists the
resource development team with progress reports, grants databases, time and effort
sheets, grant materials submission, word processing, correspondence and record keeping.
In her off time, Colleen loves spending time with her husband, getting together with
family and friends, and traveling the globe with her son to his swim competitions
for Police and Fire Games.
The Resource Development Department is located at the Daytona State College Main Campus in the Wetherell Center (Building 100) Suite 224.
