Bachelor's Degree Requirements

Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision & Management (BAS)***

  • Meet both the general education requirements and specific requirements of their program.
  • Applicants for the BAS program must have earned an Associate's degree with an overall grade point average of 2.0 or greater. College or university transfer students
    from a regionally accredited college or university must have earned at least 60 college credit hours and must have received a grade of "C" or better in all core general
    education courses that transfer into the BAS program.
  • Complete at least 25 percent of the degree requirement credits in residence at Daytona State College.

Bachelor of Science in Education (BSED)***

  • Meet both the general education requirements and specific requirements of their program.
  • Applicants for the BSED program must have earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree with a Cumulative GPA of 2.5 in all higher education classes.
  • Pass the Professional Education Test (PEd), the Subject Area Exam (SAE) in program area and the General Knowledge Test (GKT).
  • Volusia County Schools Volunteer clearance.
  • Complete at least 25 percent of the degree requirement credits in residence at Daytona State College.

Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology (BSET)***

  • Meet both the general education requirements and specific requirements of their program.
  • Applicants for the BSET program must have earned an Associate of Science (AS) or an Associate of Arts (AA) degree with an overall grade point average of 2.5 or greater.
  • Complete at least 25 percent of the degree requirement credits in residence at Daytona State College.

 

***Plus these additional requirements:

  • Satisfy the foreign language requirement for A.A., Bachelor degree candidates.
  • Fulfill all financial and other obligations to the college before receiving the degree or certificate.
  • All Bachelor, AS, and Certificate program applicants will need Chair approval in order for your graduation application to be reviewed by the Records Department. This process is done automatically when your online graduation application is submitted.
  • Submit an online application for graduation.
