I can do it - Communication Skills for Supervisor Training is an opportunity for all Supervisors, Chairs and Managers to learn, enhance or sharpen their foundation skills of leadership. This 2 hour class creates a philosophical base for communication and feedback that is essential for all supervisor and employee interactions.
The Eight Legal Perils of Supervision
The Organizational and Faculty Development Department in partnership with Human Resources and the Office of Institutional Equity introduces a workshop that touches on employment pitfalls in the workplace. This in an effort to inform and support managers, chairs, supervisors and professionals and to offer ongoing resources to all who manage people.
The workshop - "Eight Legal Perils" - covers the areas shown below and is designed to promote dialog and understanding:
- Documentation
- Interviewing and Hiring Discrimination
- Unfair and Inconsistent Treatment
- Harassment
- Inaccurate or Inflated Evaluations
- Privacy and Confidentiality
- Administering Family Medical Leave
- Proper Process of Termination
