Dual Enrollment Health Careers

Dual Enrollment Health Careers is for our High School Senior, inquiring, interested, or know their goal is a career in health care. Juniors may apply if majority of core courses are completed.

nurseThe program follows Volusia County school calander (h.s. start date to ending date), with college credits and books paid for. Home School and Private Schools may attend, please speak with Mrs. Judy Staples 506-3835. The program is held on the Daytona and Deltona campuses. Upon passing, the student will obtain 14 college Credits and 2 Vocational Certificates allowing the student to obtain a jump-start on college and employment/experience, and further expanding education and goals in health care. Many of the facilities provide tuition reimbursement which greatly assists with tuition finances.

The student will also have the opportunity to shadow in many areas such as:
Operating Room, Respiratory Services, Emergency Department, Intensive Care Services, Obstetris Units, and many more. The students participate with Volusia County Emergency Management Services Disaster Trainings, and Health Fairs, Community Service health education.

If you have successfuly passed the ACT, SAT, CPT you may be exempt from the TABE.
Turn in an application to your high school counselor or to Mrs. Gray at Daytona State College, Daytona Campus Bld 320 Rm 334. Please download the CNA Packet, read carefully and complete all required areas, this must be completed prior to the first day of high school. NOTE: CPR will be provided during your dual enrollment program.

You will receive notification on the orientation prior to the close of school.
