Daytona State College Civic Orchestra concert to benefit local United Way
DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Oct. 22, 2008) - Enjoy a Sunday afternoon of master works along the banks of the Halifax River and unite to help those in need on Nov. 9, when the Daytona State College Civic Orchestra performs in concert beginning at 3 p.m.
The concert will be in the intimate Davidson Theater located in the News-Journal Center at Daytona State College, 221 N. Beach St. The orchestra, which is comprised of Daytona State students and area musicians, will perform works from the Romantic Era, featuring Beethoven’s Symphony #7.
All proceeds from the $5 admission price will benefit the United Way of Volusia-Flagler counties. Admission for Daytona State College and other Volusia County students is free with presentation of proper ID.
