Daytona State’s Café 101 sets fall semester opening
DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Aug. 25, 2008) - Daytona State College's popular student-run restaurant Cafe 101 will open for fall semester on Sept. 2.
The teaching café and kitchen tied to Daytona State’s College of Hospitality and Management will begin limited seating by reservation only for lunch Monday through Friday. Reservations can be made for 11:30 a.m. or noon. Café 101 also will open for dinner on Fridays, with limited seating also by reservation only, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The café will begin closing at 7:15 p.m. on Fridays. In order to ensure that the most patrons possible have an opportunity to experience Café 101, reservations will be accepted no more than two weeks in advance for both lunch and dinner.
Café 101’s menu features full-service American and international cuisine. The restaurant is run entirely by students under the supervision of the culinary school’s professors and master chefs.
For $9 (including tax), lunch patrons receive an appetizer, entrée, dessert and beverage. Vegetarian meals are available by request. Gratuities are welcome and help fund student scholarships. Credit cards are accepted at Café 101. The charge for dinner is $15. Unfortunately, take-out service is not available at this time.
Café 101 is open to the public; however, seating is limited and reservations are required. To make reservations please call (386) 506-3859. The restaurant is located in the Mori Hosseini Center on Daytona State’s Daytona Beach Campus, 1200 W. International Speedway Blvd.
