DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Sept. 18, 2009) - The Daytona State College School of Adult Education has expanded its course offering to provide options for the busy student. This semester, afternoon and Saturday classes have been added to the schedule to assist students who contend with work and other responsibilities.
Afternoon classes are available on the Daytona Beach and Deltona campuses from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Students mix group activities, individualized learning plans and computer lessons to create a well-rounded program of study as they prepare to take the GED tests.
The Saturday class format is designed for students who prefer the classroom setting, but who do not have time to make it to classes during the week. During the 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. face-to-face class, students experience group and individual lessons. Additionally, they receive an individualized study plan for the remainder of the week. The study plans include book- and Internet-based work.
Classes begin every week, so sign up today! For more information call (386) 506-3059 or visit www.DaytonaState.edu/YouDecide
The School of Adult Education is supported by Daytona State College, the Florida Department of Education and the US Department of Education.
