DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Nov. 20, 2009) – WDSC TV-15 teamed up with executive chefs and students of Daytona State College’s culinary program and proved that their chili recipe was the best during the fifth Annual World Series of Chili that was hosted Nov. 14 by the Daytona Cubs to benefit the Halifax Humane Society.
“WDSC’s “Chili Dawgs” has been thinking about their chili recipe and presentation since we entered this event last year,” commented team principal and WDSC Director Susan Johnson. “Chefs Conklin, Pan and Knipple assisted by students Chris Huff and Hayden Haddox, created a delicious chili that featured several secret ingredients and we look forward to capturing the title again next year!”
Daytona State College’s Hospitality and Culinary Management program provides the ingredients to make a successful career in the industry. Our program delivers superior instruction in a real-world, state-of-the-art facility that is far less expensive that competing proprietary culinary schools.
