March 11 open house promotes music production technology program

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Feb. 22, 2010) – Take a center stage and behind the scenes look at Daytona State College’s School of Music, Entertainment and Art, including our new degree program in Music Production and Recording Technology. Take a tour of the News-Journal Center and new state-of-the-art recording studios; register for a chance to win a $500 scholarship provided by the Daytona State Foundation - two drawings – winners will be notified after the event.

What: Music Production Technology and Performing Arts Open House
When: Thursday, March 11, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Where: News-Journal Center at Daytona State College, 221 N. Beach Street, Daytona Beach

The event culminates with a free concert at 7:30 p.m. – “Music Showcase” is an eclectic evening of music performed by a sampling of our instrumental ensembles. You'll hear selections ranging from wind band literature to jazz and even some chamber music. Performed in the Davidson Theater.
