Daytona State alumni debut crafting show on WDSC-TV 15

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Nov. 3, 2009) – The pilot episode of a new 13-part series filmed and produced by WDSC-TV 15 will air Friday, Nov. 13 at noon and at additional dates and times throughout November. “Get Crafty” is a show that any crafter will love. Presented by Kate Risting and Correne Risting who are graduates of Daytona State College’s photography program, “Get Crafty” features how to make wonderful crafting gifts for any occasion, including Christmas, with things you already have at home.

Get CraftyThe Risting sisters are well known in the crafting community having successfully launched a range of stenciling products - “The Stencil Collection” – that have been featured by the Home Shopping Network, Good Morning Arizona, The WB, QVC, Volusia/Flagler Business Journal, Craft Trends, and Scrapbook Memories.

"It all comes around full circle,” states Kate. “Now times have changed and the students will show how anyone can use their digital photography skills for scrapbooking."

During the series, hosts of “Get Crafty” will be joined by local photographers, crafters, and famous personalities in the crafting industry to show the latest trends in crafting.

Kate and Correne have been teaching crafting at scrapbooking, rubber stamping, beading, and craft expos around the country. Be sure to catch their pilot episode Friday, Nov. 13 at noon, Monday, Nov. 16 at noon, Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 11:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 12:30 p.m., or Thursday, Nov. 26 at noon.
