Attend a Fall Open House for Chance to Win a $500 Scholarship

Daytona Beach, Fla., (Oct. 10, 2019) - Anyone interested in exploring a college education, advancing their career or re-tooling for a new job should make plans to attend a Fall Open House at Daytona State College. Visitors can speak with College representatives about programs offered, including the Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management, Bachelor of Science in Education, Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, associate of arts, associate of science, and certificate programs. Plus, Financial Aid experts will also be on hand along with advisors for Dual Enrollment, which is a great opportunity for students who would like to get started with free college classes while still in high school.

The Daytona State Open Houses will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. as follows:

Tuesday, October 22
Advanced Technology College
1770 Technology Blvd., Daytona Beach
Showcases for individual program areas include: Building & Architecture; Computer Science; Dual Enrollment; Engineering Technology; Public Services (criminal justice, emergency medical/paramedic, fire science); and Workforce programs.

Thursday, October 24
Deltona Campus

Showcases for individual program areas include: Cosmetology/Barbering featuring a tour of the salon labs, Dual Enrollment, and Health Careers.

Wednesday, October 30
Daytona Beach Campus

Showcases for individual program areas include: Bachelor of Science in Education; Cosmetology/Barbering; Health Careers – including the NEW Optician Technology program that starts in January 2020; Dual Enrollment; Hospitality and Culinary; Photography; TV Production; and more.

Refreshments will be provided and attendees of each Open House will have the opportunity to win a $500 Daytona State scholarship, two scholarship drawings per Open House, presented by the Daytona State College Foundation.
