Pirandello's One-Act Plays, translated by William Murray
Join us for an evening of one-acts by the Italian master, Luigi Pirandello.  One of the greatest and most influential playwrights of Modern Drama, Pirandello won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1934 for his “bold and brilliant renovation of the drama and the stage.” Wily peasants, feisty pessimists, frustrated rural sophists, and the entire masquerade of a sadly comic humanity-without-props make up this delightful and valuable collection of plays. Free to Daytona State College and Volusia and Flagler county students, all others $8 per person or $15 for two.

Music Production Rocks!
This performance comes as the culmination of a semester-long course in the contemporary performance aspects of modern rock, pop, blues and country music. The groups will perform a variety of selections that are representative of successful touring bands. Open House @ News-Journal Center
Speak with college representatives about programs offered at Daytona State. Learn about bachelor of applied science, bachelor of science in education, bachelor of science in engineering technology, bachelor of science in information technology, bachelor of science in nursing, associate of arts and associate of science and certificate programs.Speak with Financial Aid experts to determine how to access funds needed to pursue higher education. Refreshments will be provided and students may enter a drawing for two $500 Daytona State scholarships presented by the Daytona State College Foundation.
Showcases for individual program area including: Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management and Music Production Technology.

The Brass Band of Central Florida and The Youth Brass Band of Central Florida
Join us for an afternoon of great entertainment with some of Central Florida’s most talented performers! The Brass Band of Central Florida under the music direction and baton of Chad Shoopman features Central Florida’s finest brass and percussion musicians performing in the British brass band style with a uniquely American twist. The Youth Brass Band of Central Florida, located in Orlando, Florida, was formed in September of 2007 as an expansion and educational endeavor of the Brass Band of Central Florida. The youth band consists of 30 of the area’s most talented young musicians. FREE ADMISSION.
