Calendar of events at Daytona State announced for August 2013

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (July 12, 2013) - Daytona State College presents the following calendar of events for August 2013.

Events are open to the public and free of charge, unless otherwise noted.

Aug. 7-9
Falcon Middel School Academy (softball)
For middle school students, this three-day for ages 11-14 covers all aspects of the fast-pitch game including speed and agility. Skill sessions are 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., and  12:30 to 2 p.m., with a live game at the end of the day. Campers need to bring their own lunch. Each camp is hosted and staffed by the Daytona State Lady Falcon coaches and players. Cost:$175.

Aug. 7-9
Little Falcon Summer Academy (softball)
For ages 7-10, this camp  covers all aspects of the fast-pitch game including speed and agility. The skill sessions are 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. anInaugural Home Game - Women's Volleyball - Tuesday, Aug. 27d 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. with pool time from 3 to 4 p.m. Cost: $65

Aug. 25
Baseball Showcase
Designed for high school players in grades 10-12. Participants will  showcase their talents in front of the Falcon coaching staff in addition to receiving a tour of the facilities and learning more about life with the Falcon baseball program. Cost for each one-day camp is $75.
