Ocean Engineers are involved in the design, construction, and maintenance of ships, boats, and related marine equipment. They design and supervise the construction of everything from aircraft carriers to submarines and from sailboats to tankers. Marine engineers work on the propulsion, steering, and other systems of ships and apply their knowledge from a range of fields to the entire process by which water vehicles are designed and produced.
The Ocean Engineering curriculum has been designed to prepare students for transfer to universities offering a baccalaureate degree. However, course requirements depend on the four-year institution you plan to attend and may vary. Please contact Dr. Debra Woodall to create your plan of study.
