Senior Duplications Specialist
Business Services

Daytona State College is seeking a Senior Duplications Specialist for our Business Services Department. This position is available through Lyneer Staffing Solutions. Applicants who are hired will not be employees of Daytona State College.

Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a High School Diploma or GED. This position also requires at least two years of experience.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will program and complete assigned print/copy production jobs utilizing complex digital duplicating equipment on a daily basis. He or she will complete finishing tasks including paper folding, drilling, cutting, padding, laminating, stapling, and packaging of copy/print jobs. The employee will complete stocking tasks, ensuring sufficient quantities of machine and paper supplies are on hand for assigned projects; and back up other duplicating equipment operator(s) as needed. In addition, the employee will cross-train and assist with Mail Services' functions as needed involving sorting mail, delivery and  pick-up of mail, and special deliveries of college materials to various locations within Volusia and Flagler counties.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Candidate must be well versed in excel and database management and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with web-to-print solutions. He or she must also have a strong attention to detail; the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; and have strong organizational and customer service skills.

Salary:  $9.57 per hour. (Up to 40 hours per week)

Senior Laboratory Technician – Welding
Workforce and Continuing Education


Daytona State College is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician for our Welding Program in the Workforce and Continuing Education Department This position is available through Lyneer Staffing Solutions. Applicants who are hired will not be employees of Daytona State College.


Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a High School Diploma and College Certificate with emphasis in Welding or closely related field with a minimum of six (6) months experience. An Associate's degree is preferred.


Responsibilities: This position will perform the following essential tasks; Prepare/set up Welding labs for students as requested by faculty; assist faculty and students with the operation of Welding machine, and lab equipment; maintain, repair, and troubleshoot lab equipment for optimal performance; ensure the security of welding labs, lab equipment and classrooms; supervise lab activities to ensure compliance with established Welding lab rules and guidelines; assist faculty in setting up and coordinating test and exams.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The successful candidate must have the ability to work with faculty and students individually and in groups; exercise good judgment and communicate effectively both orally and written; have strong organizational skills and ability to work in a multi-task environment and maintain positive customer relations; be able to supervise students in a lab environment; must have welding knowledge and skills. Applicants must maintain, repair, and handle tools and tool supplies, as well as, demonstrate tool functions and safety procedures for students.


Salary: $10.00 per hour (20 hours per week)


Working Hours: 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday.

Office Assistant
Admissions/Recruitment Department


Daytona State College is seeking a part-time temporary Office Assistant for our Admissions/Recruitment Department. This position is available through Lyneer Staffing Solutions. Applicants who are hired will not be employees of Daytona State College.

Staff Assistant
Institute for Health Services

Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a High School Diploma or GED. Two (2) years of related experience is also required.

Responsibilities: The Staff Assistant will assist the Coordinator in the daily operations in the Institute of Health Services. He/she will answer phones and provide information, schedule appointments and assist students and staff as needed. This position is responsible for budget preparation and monitoring, as well as tracking expenses, inventory and ordering office supplies. This individual will be responsible for course scheduling and other departmental communications. He/she will maintain all department-filing systems including mailing lists, course files and other departmental records. This position will assist department faculty with course preparation including handouts, copying media, organizing course materials, student registration and processing student payments. This individual will access, input, and retrieve data from the College system to create reports. He/she will also be responsible for training work-study students as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The successful candidate must possess strong computer skills and have knowledge of software programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. He/she must communicate well both verbally and in writing and be skilled in customer service, scheduling and record keeping. The successful candidate must be creative, motivated, have personal initiative and be able to work independently on special projects. He/ she must also possess the ability to multi-task, utilize time management and be well organized and flexible.

Salary: $9.18 per hour
Working Hours: Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., but flexibility with hours a must. On occasion, weekend/evening hours necessary to assist with class registration

Positions are available through Lyneer Staffing Employment Services. Applicants who are hired will not be employees of Daytona State College.  Successful candidates may be considered for possible full-time employment if/when positions become available at Daytona State College.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED; a minimum of one (1) year recent and verifiable commercial building cleaning work experience.  These positions will work a flexible schedule, which includes weekends and/or holidays.  Duties include, but not limited to: cleaning restrooms, classrooms, hallways, common areas; sweep, mop, vacuum floors and carpets; dust window sills and furniture; clean windows; empty trash; and all other duties as assigned.  Direct exposure to indoor and outdoor temperatures, hot and cold; must be able to reach, stoop, push, pull, lift, kneel, twist/move from side-to-side and carry on a reoccurring basis.

Fresh Start Facilitator
Center for Women and Men

Daytona State College is seeking a part time Fresh Start Facilitator forour Center for Women and Men.  This position is available through Lyneer Staffing Solutions. Applicants who are hired will not be employees of Daytona State College.

Minimum Qualifications: This position will hold at minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate discipline to meet the needs of the Fresh Start Program and the Center for Women & Men. Position requires three years related teaching experience in a professional work environment.

Responsibilities: The Fresh Start Facilitator is responsible for the overall facilitation and implementation of the four week Fresh Start Program curriculum. This position is responsible for ensuring program participants meet and complete benchmarks and successful graduation from the Fresh Start Program. The Facilitator must follow the Fresh Start course syllabus, be prepared to cover all stages of the course and make the syllabus available to students on the first day of class. Responsible for coordinating and securing guest speakers, campus tours and all program instructional activities. Responsible for implementing the Fresh Start Program curriculum with guidance and direction from the Supervisor. Develop and implement workshops in basic computer skills, student life skills, note taking skills, goal setting and navigating the Daytona State College student enrollment process.  Coordinate the use of facilities and secure instructional materials, equipment, and provide referrals to other College supportive services and college departments needed to facilitate student completion.  Must attend required College and Center for Women & Men trainings as assigned by the Supervisor. Participate in the Center for Women and Men activities and promote awareness of the College support services that are available to Fresh Start program participants. Must be honest, reliable, and dependable and maintain a professional relationship with all students and staff at all times. Continued funding and employment of this temporary, performance based position is contingent upon the availability of College funds, completion of program participants, departmental and program goals, grant objectives, student completion and transition and the discretion of the supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The successful candidate must have a demonstrated knowledge of current teaching practices in student support services.  Must have excellent customer service skills, strong report writing experience and mastery of Excel and computer data base systems. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively deliver information to a diverse group of individuals with multiple learning styles.

Salary: $15.00/hr
