Temporary Position – Lyneer Staffing Employment Services

This position is available through Lyneer-Staffing Employment Services. Applicants who are hired will not be employees of Daytona State College.

Qualifications: This position requires a high school diploma or GED and formal training or special courses equivalent to satisfactory completion of one year of college and a minimum of six (6) months related work experience. This position also requires a valid Florida Driver's License and a Florida Class "D" Security License. CPR certification required to be attained within six (6) months from start date.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will beresponsible for performing routine patrols to provide security coverage and escort services; investigating and reporting accidents, theft, vandalism, and incidents occurring on Daytona State College property; performing building and room lockdowns and open ups; responding to incidents, accidents, and emergencies on the campus and assures the prompt submission of complete and accurate reports. Additionally, this position will be responsible for observing and ensuring resolution of safety hazards; providing directions and information to students and visitors; working dispatch, including answering phones, dispatching calls, issuing ID cards for students and employees and monitoring alarm systems and providing key assists, jump starts and car unlocks for employees, students and visitors.

Salary: $8.80/hour

This position is available through Lyneer Staffing Employment Services. Applicants who are hired will not be employees of Daytona State College.  Successful candidates may be considered for possible full-time employment if/when positions become available at Daytona State College.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED; a minimum of one (1) year recent and verifiable commercial building cleaning work experience.  These positions will work a flexible schedule, which includes weekends and/or holidays.  Duties include, but not limited to: cleaning restrooms, classrooms, hallways, common areas; sweep, mop, vacuum floors and carpets; dust window sills and furniture; clean windows; empty trash; and all other duties as assigned.  Direct exposure to indoor and outdoor temperatures, hot and cold; must be able to reach, stoop, push, pull, lift, kneel, twist/move from side-to-side and carry on a reoccurring basis.

Applicants must have own transportation in reporting to work at any specified Daytona State College Campus location.  Must be able to operate a computer to electronically record work hours.

Hourly Wage: $8.17

A valid Florida Photo I.D. and Social Security card must be presented when application is completed and returned.

Criminal background checks and fingerprinting are required.
