Falcon Mail FAQ

Below are a list of frequently asked questions, click the question to see the answers, and then click them again to hide them.

Why won't my network password work?
If your network password is not working…Make sure that your num lock key on your keyboard is selected when entering numeric passwords.

How do I check my email from home?
To check email from home… Visit http://mail.daytonastate.edu and log in with your username and password.

How do I check my voicemail from home?
To check voicemail from home … Dial 506-3098, press *, then your ID number (which is your telephone extension), then #, then your password, then #.

Network password is locked when I log on.
If you try to log into the network and the screen says your password is locked, call the Helpdesk at extension 3950 and we will unlock your password for you.

My RSS Feeds are not showing up in my Outlook inbox.
Open Internet Explorer and go to: http://daytonastate.edu/rss/ then click on the link to the feed you wish to subscribe to and it will be automatically added to your outlook mailbox.

Why does my initial password not work for Falcon Online?
When logging into Falcon Online for the first time; remember that your password is going to be “Dsc” followed by your birthday in MMDDYY format.

I can't open a document in Florida Online, what should I do?
If you get an error when attempting to open a document; try to save the document to your computer and then open it until you can speak with a Helpdesk representative.
