Thermal Energy Storage RFQ


 

RFQ #13-519 (Request for Qualifications)

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 287.055, Florida Statutes, the “Consultants’ Competitive Negotiations Act”, Daytona State College hereby publicly announces it will consider pre-qualified professional firms, registered and licensed to do work in the State of Florida, for a project requiring Architectural and Engineering services.

 

Project Information

  • New construction for an estimated 2.5 million gallon thermal storage tank
  • The facility will be located at the Daytona Campus adjacent to the Central Energy Plant
  • Design will include site work with parking improvements as necessary
  • Scope to include optimizing the current CEP and install new VFD's on existing towers
  • Project delivery method: Design-Bid-Build
  • Estimated total budget inclusive of all fees and furnishings: $2.9M
  • Final TES study

 

Following the Submittal Guidelines, interested firms should submit their proposal to:

     There is no pre-proposal meeting planned. Any additional information that becomes available and responses to written questions received prior to the deadline of January 3 will be posted on this site. Questions should be submitted to nielseb@DaytonaState.edu

Questions to RFQ

Q: With regards to litigation or disputes, is there a time frame, such as within 5 years, or do you want throughout the history of the firm?

A: Please go back 10 years.

Q: In “Tab 1- Required documents”  it asks for our M/WBE status and I was wondering if we should list our sub-consultants status as well considering they are a WBE?

A: Additional information about sub-consultants is acceptable.

Q: In “Tab 3- Firm information”, it asks for a notarized financial statement. Will you accept a signed copy of 2011 corporate tax Return?

A: A tax return will not be acceptable. A notarized financial statement (such as a Dun & Bradstreet or from a certified public accountant) is required.

Q: What exactly is this form supposed to report in regards to the financial status?

A: An audited financial statement that includes at a minimum an income statement and balance sheet.

Q: Is there a page limitation for this submittal? If so; how many pages?

A: Please limit the submittal to 50 pages.

Q: What is the format for the submission? SF330, PQS etc..?

A: No specific format is required.
