Permit Process

The permitting process is a responsibility of the Department of Facilities Planning and Construction.

Building and construction permits for any project that Includes “New Construction” or “Remodel” and for “Renovation” projects in excess of $50,000 require a permit, in accordance with Florida Statutes.

Permit applications may be obtained by contacting the Facilities Planning Department at 386.506.4322 or via email to Debbie McRee at mcreed@DaytonaState.edu or from below.

Permit application can only be made by “Licensed Contractors” registered in the State of Florida.  When required, by Law, signed and sealed plans must be provided

Applications should include:

• Copy of current license
• Certificate of Insurance with Daytona State College listed as additional insured
• Bond (if applicable)
• 2 sets of signed/sealed drawings
