ITB 12-015

ADDENDUM #1:

Provide separate line item cost under Alternate 1 of the bid form for the entire effort associated with providing the energy

management and control system (EMCS). This shall include, but not be limited to, work as

indicated in specification section 23 09 00, sheet M‐101, sheet M‐501, sheet M‐601, and sheet M‐701.

Sealed bids will be received from pre-qualified Contractors for the provision of construction services for the DeLand Chiller Replacement Project located at Daytona State College DeLand Campus Building 3.

Formal bid proposals will be received until 2:00PM (EST) October 29, 2012 at the offices of

Daytona State College Business Services Department 1100 Willis Avenue Building 1100 – Conference Room 123 Daytona Beach, Florida 32114 Attn:  Mr. Steven Eckman.

(FAXED PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED)

Bids shall be submitted fully complete with all required proposal documents, including:  completed bid forms, and completed contractor’s qualification statement.  All bids must be in duplicate (original and one (1) copy) and must be signed, sealed (corporate seal), and securely sealed in an envelope or suitable conveyance, and clearly marked on the outside to show the date and time, and must be designated as “DeLand Chiller Replacement Project” – “ITB #12-015“.

The Owner is under no obligation whatsoever to accept the lowest Bid or any other Bid submitted, and the Owner in its sole discretion may accept a Bid other than the lowest Bid for any reason whatsoever that shall seem satisfactory to the Owner.  Moreover, the Owner reserves the unbridled right in the Owner’s sole discretion to reject any and all Bids for any reason whatsoever that shall seem satisfactory to the Owner.

MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE : October 16, 2012 @ 2:00pm  Located at the DeLand Campus, Building 3 (Physical Plant) County Road 4139, DeLand FL 32724. 

Mechanical/Plumbing Contractors may submit bids to Pre-Qualified General Contractors as a subcontractor.  Mechanical/Plumbing Contractors desiring to bid as the prime bidder must be Pre-Qualified prior to October 1, 2012.  Bids will only be accepted from approved Pre-Qualified Contractors.

Information (Fact Sheet)

• No work is to disturb scheduled classes in any buildings.
• During construction, any systems shutdowns must be scheduled during the XMas break between December 15 2012 - January 3, 2013.
• At this time the College is looking at installing a new 400 ton chiller and cooling tower with related pumps and piping.
• The College will purchase the chiller and tower separate from the Prime Bidders scope of work and be delivered prior to construction.  Contractor will be responsible for unload both the chiller and tower upon delivery.
