The Faculty Innovation Center is part of the Instructional Resources department which is located in WDSC-TV Channel 15 (Building 400), a state-of-the art digital television station. The Instructional Resources team assists faculty with developing and procuring digital learning materials, including producing several hundred videos each year for their courses. The Center has some of the latest equipment and applications available including web cameras, tablets (e.g. iPads), scanners, editing rooms and a media conversion station. Down the hall is our 3,000 square foot studio where faculty can pre-record micro-lectures, host events and even broadcast live productions.

Developing a quality course takes time especially for a distance education course. To ensure adherence to the College's commitment to excellence certain delivery standards and completion of the LMS Academy are expected for faculty teaching online and hybrid courses. In addition, all distance learning courses require approval from the department chair.
Our knowledgeable and courteous staff are always available to answer questions about distance learning, software and content developmental. For more information, stop by the Faculty Innovation Center on the Daytona campus or give us a call at (386) 506-3849.
